The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that more than 40 Ukrainian drones were shot down within 24 hours, according to a statement released this Tuesday (2).

According to the Russian ministry, most of the activity took place in the Bryansk region, where air defense units shot down 14 drones. Another eight drones were intercepted over Krasnodar Krai.

Russian forces neutralized six drones in the skies over Crimea, while in the Volgograd region, five aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed.

Air defense teams in the Republic of Chechnya shot down four drones, and the Rostov region reported the interception of two more. Individual targets were also eliminated over the regions of Oryol, Lipetsk, and Tver.

In addition, Russian forces shot down three drones over the Black Sea, totaling 45 drones shot down, according to the Russian ministry.
